Meet Amy Quarry & Jenny Moroni
The sister duo of Amy Quarry and Jenny Moroni are certainly familiar with the farming lifestyle. Growing up, the two lived on a 40-acre plot that was attached to a large cattle ranch their father worked on. “Local and organic wasn’t anything unusual, it was just dinner,” says Amy.
Amy and Jenny are honoured to operate a business that supports other local businesses and allows farmers to continue doing the work they love to do. They are proud that Long Table Grocery expands the market for local and organic food in the community of Quesnel.
Even in their spare time, the sisters love to work with the land and you’ll most likely find them caring for their properties; Jenny has a cattle ranch and Amy a small acreage. They also enjoy cooking and hosting friends for dinner.
The siblings are optimistic about the future of Quesnel, saying the interest in local and organic food is building and people are becoming more interested in homesteading and building skills.
