Meet Ken & Nancy Worobets
Ken and Nancy Worobets took over JD Meats just a few years ago. The business was a natural fit for Ken, who had decades of experience in the meat and deli industry. When the opportunity arose for Ken and his wife Nancy to purchase a Cariboo culinary tradition, Mark’s Mustard, they jumped at it. After all, what goes better with fresh meat than delectable mustard?
Ken and Nancy chose Quesnel as their home because of its affordable living. They love the beautiful, mild and not-too-hot summers. Ken, an avid golfer, likes to spend time on the golf course in the spring and summer time. The couple also loves the fact that there is so much nature to enjoy right out the back door no matter what part of Quesnel one is in. The casual pace of life and lack of traffic is just the icing on the cake when it comes to Quesnel living.
Ken and Nancy appreciate the support they’ve received from the locals for their business. They’re also excited that the Mark’s Mustard line of products has been picked up by more and more stores. Mark’s Mustard is produced right here in Quesnel, so it directly benefits the local economy. Ken and Nancy show their gratitude by giving back as much as possible to local charities and events, particularly those that serve children and youth.
Different. Special. Friendly
JD Meats is the place to go for quality Canadian meat and deli products, as well as a tiny but well-known local treasure: the delectable line of Marks’s Mustard, a Cariboo original made fresh in Quesnel for over 35 years. Pair it with any of the great products Ken and Nancy Worobets have to offer. Ken’s decades of experience in the meat and deli industry complement his other service of meat cutting for all types of game too.
