First Equestrian Horse Ranch or FEHRanch is the place to go for horse lovers, young or young at heart. FEHRanch is a fully equipped equestrian facility that offers full-care boarding or self-care boarding for your horse in a beautiful, well maintained facility on 118 acres, just 18 minutes from the city of Quesnel.
In addition to boarding, FEHRanch teaches Equine-Assisted Learning programs for youth, adults and those wishing develop new life skills. Equine-Assisted Learning is a non-riding program that is powerful, professional and proven to have positive outcomes in any age. By using the horses in experiential learning, professionals are able to see horse reactions to the humans  and then translate into helping methods. FEHRanch also offers horsemanship lessons, which next to boarding, is the largest service offered.
FEHRanch welcomes riders of all levels for camps and retreats that are offered throughout the year. These offerings help potential riders learn the ins and outs of horse care, riding basics and have clear goals to accomplish during their three-day journey. For more experienced riders looking to network into a community of other horse lovers, they offer outdoor retreats and overnight journeys, many of which are specifically geared for women riders.

Meet Tawnie Fehr

Meet Tawnie Fehr

Owner Tawnie Fehr has been a horsewoman for as long as she can remember and together with her family, Jonny, Dustyn, Danica and Huntr, they started First Equestrian Horse Ranch for the love of the horse.

Tawnie and her family are happy to provide a niche offering through their small business and enjoy tailoring each clients experience around their needs, and their horses. Tawnie saw a gap between youth and horses and decided to use her immense training and knowledge to help better the communication between the two. Tawnie has her diploma in Equine Studies from the University of Guelph, and is a certified Equine-Assisted Learning Facilitator. She continuously trains with the top horse trainers in the world and currently competes in Mountain Trail.

She loves working with people and their horses everyday and especially loves caring for those senior horses that come to retire and stay with them, offering the very best care available.
