Gold Pan City Dance

Mother-daughter duo Sandy Herman and Jessie Herman admit that owning a small business is challenging, but say that they love every bit of it. But what they love most about Gold Pan City Dance is being able to watch children blossom through the art of dance. In the 25 years that the studio has been in business in Quesnel, Sandy and Jessie have watched hundreds of children grow up, many of them starting out in dance as preschoolers and continuing all the way until high school graduation. Seeing them flourish gives Sandy and Jessie a huge sense of accomplishment and is the reason that they love coming to work every day.

Sandy worked hard to get the business off the ground when it first opened, even as her own daughter was a dance student. Now that Jessie has grown up and joined her Mom in the business, Sandy couldn't be prouder. Both Sandy and Jessie Herman consider Quesnel their home, and they have deep ties to the community. They enjoy supporting local charities like the SPCA, the Relay for Life, the women's shelter and Big Brothers/Big Sisters. They even host fundraisers and events of their own from time to time. The Hermans have a passion for the arts in general and like to participate in arts-related community events and do art projects during their down time.
