Meet Lisa Foottit
Owner Lisa Foottit has been providing gifts and giggles in Quesnel long before becoming Mama C's owner in May 2021. Lisa went to high school in Quesnel, then life took her away for many years. In 2016 Lisa and her family returned to the town she has always considered her hometown. She loves the genuine community of Quesnel, where people are friendly and welcoming. Stepping into the role of owner of Mama C’s Gifts & Giggles was a dream come true as she returned to her retail roots after 10 years in the insurance world. The store has long been a family favourite for any gift giving needs. Lisa hopes to continue to serve this great community and the people in it.
When not in the store, Lisa likes to kayak and bike in the summer or just hang out with her house full of cattle dogs and 1 spoiled kitten. Family and friends are also important. And, if you have been in the store you know Lisa believes strangers are “just friends she hasn’t met yet”. Lisa wants to see Mama C’s Gifts & Giggles stay one of Quesnel’s favourite shopping destinations. “With all the incredible stores in Quesnel, I am honoured to be a part of the business community. I hope to see all businesses in Quesnel flourish to keep our amazing town strong,” she says. “and to provide customers with an amazing shopping experience every single time.”
