A) You operate a business, non-profit or charity that sells retail goods and or provides services.

B) Your business is NOT a franchise, direct sales enterprise, distributorship or branded dealership.

C) Your business or organization is owned and operated in Northern British Columbia.

Meet Marjie Robertson

Marjie Robertson just knew that Quesnel, with its hundreds of square kilometres in which to dirt bike, was the perfect place to open Outback BC. An avid biker and hometown Quesnel girl, Marjie appreciates the rugged terrain and loves getting out on her own motorbikes when she has the time.

During the week, you’ll usually find Marjie in her store helping other bikers find the things that they need in order to enjoy the sport of dirt biking. She considers it an honour to help outfit other bikers, and notes that most of her customers are repeat visitors.

Having owned her store for 14 years, Marjie has seen a lot of changes in the business community. Though she’s seen businesses come and go, she is confident about the future of commerce in Quesnel. In fact, she believes that a business is what the owner makes of it. “As long as a small business is willing to provide excellent customer service,” says Marjie, “they will have a future.”
