To qualify for a profile your business must meet the following criteria:

A) You operate a business, non-profit or charity that sells retail goods and or provides services.

B) Your business is NOT a franchise, direct sales enterprise, distributorship or branded dealership.

C) Your business or organization is owned and operated in Northern British Columbia.

She holds an MA in Disaster and Emergency Management and specialized certificates in GESI, GenderPro, Addressing Gender-Based Violence in Emergencies, Shelter Management, and International Humanitarian Law. Alex is a personable and engaging subject matter expert with demonstrated experience across Canada and abroad. She makes learning accessible and presents practical and concrete recommendations for real world implementation and integration. Meet Alex Valoroso

Alex Valoroso is dedicated to working with communities to facilitate paths to equity, diversity, and inclusion. Alex’s passion and education for addressing the disproportionate impacts of disasters and creating more equitable environments led her to open her own consulting agency. This work includes national research, advising at the provincial government level, and her work with numerous non-profits including the Canadian Red Cross, Doctors Without Borders, and Cuso International. Familiar with building a small business legacy, Alex knows how much more vibrant her community is because of the impact business owners make. She is looking forward to the opportunity to help her clients both in the community and beyond.
